Rework notes function - in one or multiple phases
Note attachment
• allow a note to be attached to multiple passages - with the note icon appearing on each passage
• allow all links - to other notes, PDF's mp3's, PowerPoint's, web, mind maps, sentence diagrams, vocabulary lists
• permit notes to be attached to a lemma, liturgical date, search string...
• allow default note icon color to be set at the file level; permit more colors (at least match L3)
• allow user selection of highlight style to indicate attached note/selected text - include suppressing highlighting or show only on mouse over
• improve input window (more like…1,321 votes -
Make an intelligent flash card program for vocab & Bible verse memorization.
Once vocab lists are reintroduced, make it intelligently able to quiz the users, learning what words (Verses) the user knows and which ones he/she doesn't. Model it after supermemo.
797 votesA future release of Logos (sorry, no date available) will have support for full-featured word and vocabulary lists.
Flash card functionality is already underway. We anticipate having it on the desktop, supporting printing of paper flashcards to perforated paper stock, and plan (but have not yet started coding) mobile flashcard applications for drilling on your phone.
We are using an established memorization method with an algorithm for smartly rotating and reviewing cards.

Add prayer list on iphone / ipad / ipod
This would be really useful on the go, since that is when you tend to run into people asking you to pray for something. It could be a simple mobile prayer list that syncs with the desktop or something more complicated like the ability to sync any of your prayer lists with the ipod.

Copy from anywhere (Guides, Search Results, Resource Info panel)
Add the ability to select and copy text from all the places we used to be able to in L3: Passage/Exegetical Guides, Bible Word Study, Search Results, and Resource info panels.
603 votesIn Logos 5, the section headers in Guides and most Tools have a “Copy” command on the context (right-click) menu that copies their content to the clipboard.

Bring back Topic Search and Fuzzy Search
Bring back Logos 3's Topic Browser and Fuzzy Search capabilities
510 votesAn upcoming release of Logos will have new support for topics (and specifically the terms in the Logos Controlled Vocabulary) throughout the software.
We anticipate bringing back fuzzy search as well.
I’m sorry, but no date is available yet.

Import/Export notes to/from Evernote.
It would be nice if Logos (both PC and iPad/iPhone/iPod versions) could import/export notes to/from Evernote. If possible the format should be compatible with OliveTree's BibleReader so the notes can be portable between applications.

I’m reopening this suggestion to allow voting. However, the comment below is still true; it’s highly unlikely that this will be implemented anytime soon.

It’s unlikely we’ll add support for embedded images in notes anytime soon; it would add a lot of bandwidth and storage requirements to our multi-platform notes syncing, as well as new UI issues. -
Provide management of mytags
Please provide some way to manage mytags, preferably with ability to remove or rename 'specific' tags, and not simply 'delete all tags'. If resources have multiple tags, the only way to manage them is either with a lot of time and patience going through each one, or to create new mytags and leave lots of redundant ones lying around.

We are unlikely to be able to develop for Windows Phone 7 until Microsoft adds support for other programming languages. While we use and like C#, much of our core engine is in C++, and we don’t have the resources to port it all for this platform.

Complete the set of Precept symbols
I use the Inductive Bible Study Method quite often - it is not the only method I use because it is not the only method :-). The highlighting feature in Logos 4 has a precept palate, but it only has part of the symbols available. Does anyone know if Logos is going to add the rest of the symbols? I spoke to the good people at Precept and they said they were all for it, but Logos had to actually do it.

PDF, docx files
Over the years in seminary, I have downloaded and collected many pdf and docx files. I would like to see Logos having the ability to search these files, make cross-reference, and make notes. If this cannot be done, another alternative is that Logos provides an internal program that would convert these files to native logos format.
295 votesPersonal Book Builder can convert docx files to Logos books. We do not plan to implement PDF import/conversion.
Update: We still do not plan to implement PDF import, but I’m reopening this for user feedback, as requested.

A Visual Bookshelf feature like Mark Barnes's cool web-based one, only even better!
See this thread http://community.logos.com/forums/t/15170.aspx
And take into account some of the suggestions for improvements posted later on the thread, such as the ability to drag to reorder books, integrate flags for reading plans that are behind, etc.237 votes -
iphone / ipad / ipod - icon for "download all available resources"
It is a bit time consuming to browse the iphone library and pick out the resources for "offline reading" individually. I would appreciate the possibility to download all available resources; especially for the ipad coming up very soon....

More control over Reading Plans
Focus on beefing up reading plans. I want more control over what I read, when it is read, and in what order. I want a "catch up mode" that allows me to get back on the plan when I fall behind with a choice of how long I want to take to get back on track. It would also be nice to have the program know when I have read ahead by a paragraph or a chapter by noting where I scroll to and then starting me off at that point the next day. Or giving me the option to…

Improve community pricing program
I think logos should start a public domain group. I was looking on finding the best way to get public domain books. I came across a website that charges $100.00 membership fee and you can download as many public domain books as you want. These books come in a variety of formats, so you can put them into the pbb.
I would be really cool if logos started a similar group. With enough members, the membership fee can fund the production of these public domain books. This would also bring in the "low end" customers seeing as they can get…

4.2 will open to a new collection by default, so it’s not easy to edit an existing collection by mistake. A new UI for editing/viewing collections is planned for a future release.
