Sorry, my last post was not meant to be anonymous (May 14 2012 10:36)

Wow, I was pointed to this forum by logos support, why are they seemingly so proud of what amounts to (from this list of posts) two years of broken promises.

The company line was for users to continue to use libronix three until they got Logos 4 sermon addin up and running. Now even this is broken and they will not even talk about it or offer support for it.

As is already pointed out in this forum, this is a feature users paid for and the personal book application, while it does some good things, simply does not do what sermon addin does.
See Ken Chritcley's post (Dec 2011) for the features that are missing from personal books.

I love L4 but the Sermon FIle Add-In is the feature I miss the most in L4. PBB is OK, but I enjoyed the way the Sermon File Add-In worked.

I'm with these guys - was really useful in L3. When, oh when, is it coming out for L4. Thanks

What is the status on the development of the Sermon File Add-In for Logo 4? It was suppose to be out last year. Has development been ditched on this project? It sure seems that way.

I've started using scriply.com (two days ago) and find it fits my needs regarding sermon prep notes. I like the idea that people could go to my site (blog, whatever) and see how I'm interacting with the texts during the week. I'll probably end up publishing sermons to my blog (which I also only set up a few days ago). What I'd LOVE to see is a solution from Logos that allowed me to combine both those things with L4 in some cool and slick manner that only Logos could do.

        Features I see as important
        1. A way to input text used, date and location preached, topic, etc. hopefully with an index linking it to the text so when I am reading the Bible, I can see that I have sermons on that text.
        2. Simple to use: it needs more functionality than notes, clippings, etc. but cannot be as complicated as PBB (unless using a shell).
        3. Import from word with headings, etc. intact.
        4. Ability to import docs but also build the sermon within and export.

All we need is some minor changes to notes, and we would not need a sermon file add-in.

I thought I had seen an add-in available on the Logos.com website several months ago. Got really excited about it. Put it on my mental wish list. Then looked here to purchase today and can no longer find it on the site! I've done every kind of search possible, and nothing! Now I navigate to this forum to see that my hopes are shared by many, and long-awaited! Do we know what the status of the Logos 4 add-in is?!

Hmm, for me, the recently implemented Personal Books feature covers all the bases (assuming that syncing gets added at some point). In fact, for what I used it for, the new Personal Books feature is *better* than the Sermon File Addin (better formatting and better control over images and links).

On the Logos website it says that the Sermon File Add In would be ready in the second quarter of 2011. To my knowledge, we are soon entering the fourth quarter, and I have not seen it yet. Is there any updated news about this feature? I have paid for this product and I believe it is only fair if they make this available in Logos 4. We have been waiting long enough for it.

Really can't wait for editable Sermon Files (and illustrations) to be added to L4. I've been checking back every single week for an update...

This tool is great for pastors I have used it with Libronix for years and I like the freedom of having my own sermons on the program to read. I haven't lost faith, I know it is coming. I hate to admit it though, I also am much like that child waiting for my birthday party so I can open all the gifts!

This could be a great tool for pastors... It sure seems silly to have to run software from two different versions to get this done. Like many have heard, "we are working on it;" how big of a priority is this. I have used Logos since 1994 and this is my biggest complaint yet. Please get this right as you have done on so many other products.

Logos, please keep working on this feature. A lot of my spanish speaking friends use this in Libronix and want it in Logos4. Keep at it "profavor".

Come on Logos developers - let's get this Sermon File-Addin updated to work fully functional with logos 4....... I really don't like having legacy software just to support an edit / import function ... Certainly hope that this really long wait is worth the while with the new functionality.... How about an update of what you have planned?

Well I bought this feature right before it was given out for Pastor's Appreciation month. It was a great tool, loved using it and can't wait until it is on L4. BTW, since it was given away about 3 weeks after I bought it...Logos' great customer service took care of me (Thanks again Logos). Once this is on L4 I can remove my L3.

I know that this feature is planned, but I can't help feeling that it is running behind schedule. I would really like to see this feature up and running as soon as possible. Can we have an update please about its status.
