Yippeee! Now, please add PDF to the list for all those articles we've been storing and downloading into our digital libraries so we can search our whole digital library through Logos!

I would love a robust way to write inside of Logos! This would be extremely useful for research and teaching applications, to say nothing of sermons. Right now I am using the notes function to create commentaries as I study my way through books. This is great for Bible study groups, but not robust enough and with no way to export the notes and formatting, my work is trapped inside Logos.

Would love to see this soon, but I also want it to be well thought-out. Making true Logos books would be terrific.

        Bob,
Could you please elaborate on (relatively). I too want to see this come to pass and would like to know when we can at least be expecting to look for it.

        Thanks!

        Bruce

I also bought Logos for this PBB. I am wanting to write up my "book" while using the powerful features of Logos. But without this tool, it seems like a wasted effort to buy sermon file addin , manually link, etc etc and then do rewrites and have to re-import again. I want one place to do my writing and lining textual references. PLEASE get PBB finished already.

I too am very disappointed at the way this seems to have been put on the "back burner" and delayed one year past the original estimate of Q1 2010. It's probably not a good revenue generating feature since it allows us to go around Logos and read free PBB resources but you guys are the ones who promised PBB support in Q1 2010. I bet a lot of people purchased Logos 4 because of this promise, I know I did. I would love to see you follow through and make this the priority until it's finished.

I really need this for academic use. I need to produce workbooks for my learners that they can fill in and keep as their class notes.

It would be nice if this feature changed state from "planned" to "in progress"

When L4 was release it was initially promised for Q1 2010. A year has passed and it is now just planned. I would love to see this make some progress.

Incorporating the ability for Logos to read ePub as a part of this would be huge. It wouldn't be necessary to build in the incredible linking system that typical Logos products have, but being able to read, clip and copy parts of ePubs within the Logos framework and alongside Logos resources would be of monumental value.

One other idea was for Logos to create a store (like the app store from Apple) for user to create and sell their books to other Logos user. i think this would be a great idea and could help build the Logos community. i would also like to see Logos add the ability to create ePub books from PBB and for Logos 4 to be able to add ePub books to you library. i understand they wouldn't have all the functionality of Logos resources but it would be nice to have one place for all my digital books. most of the ePub books I would import would be for reading and not necessarily used as resources.

I have to agree with Wes, Logos has always been a bit slack on the Personal Book Builder. Respectfully, it was years of requests before it even existed... and then there are the licensing issues. There are several other Bible software companies allow anyone to make a personal book for publishing to others free of charge. I don't think version 4 should have been released without PBB. For many, it is essential.

Yes it is true this is already promised, but that is not a reason not to vote on it and let the people at Logos know how much we want this!
