Logos on Windows Mobile
There is currently not enough interest in or market share for this platform for us to start developing an app. You can still show your support for a Universal Windows App for Logos Bible Software by bidding on this Community Pricing project: https://www.logos.com/product/50060/windows-universal-bible-app
If you have a full Windows tablet and would like enhanced touch support, please vote for this suggestion instead: https://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-7/suggestions/619605-focus-on-tablet-and-touchscreen-features

I'd even be elated for the current Windows Store apps to be ported over to Windows Phone 8. The verse of the day app would be awesome to change the lockscreen everyday. Also, just the basics of having my library on the phone would help at this point.

WP8 and WindowsRT are C++ based. An app for those two systems would be much easier to port to, and those are the Windows systems going forward. MSFT is encouraging quality apps, see fi they can help in some way.

Please do this. WP8 has the C++ support you're looking for. Thanks.

Would LOVE to see this on WP8. Considering my options cross-platform, and it seems like Logos is the way to go for everything but my Windows Phone 8. I can even get the desktop app running in Ubuntu via Wine...

The WP8 SDK has only just been released, so we haven't had an opportunity yet to fully evaluate it and the feasibility of porting our existing code.

Any update on the thinking at Logos now that Windows Phone 8 has full C and C++ support? Or is the decision still based on market share? Our company is switching from iOS to Windows Phone, and I'll guess we are not the only ones thinking about it.
From Microsoft; "the Windows Phone 8.0 developer platform does indeed support C++ development... Download the WPSDK and give it a try." I would very much welcome a Logos Winoows Phone app. I currently use a Windows Phone 7, and I am delighted with its functionality. It is the best Phone OS I have come across to date, and with the release of 7.8 and Windows Phone 8 things are set to get even better.

Now that Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 share the same kernel and both are based on C++ , I think that the likelihood of a Logos Windows Phone app has leapt to new highs. The possibility that a Windows phone might be in my future has also grown in sympathy.

I use Logos4 every day on my Asus T101MT convertible netbook. (I take it to church and flip the screen into tablet mode so as to not be a distraction to others at church. Unfortunately, this platform is getting so slow that it is barely usable. I do a *lot* of the highlighting.) I just inherited my 2nd cell phone from my son, Windows Phone 7 and would love to have L4 on it!

Have used a Windows 7 phone before, loved it (and this from a long-time iPhone user). The ONLY reason I returned the Nokia Lumia before the end of the month trial was.... you guessed it: no serious Bible study app available. I have a lot of coinage invested in Logos and Olive Tree (both available for Android and iOS). Both of these apps offer scads of different bible translations as well as a lot of commentaries and other study aides.
But if a good Bible study app showed up for Windows 7 I would most likely switch from iPhone to the Lumia for good.

As a seminary student and minister/scholar, I use Logos everyday and recommend it everyday to anyone who will listen. I am a PC guy and I love my Windows Phone. I have many friends with Windows Phones and we desperately need/want a functional Logos App. Please consider this. I am currently shopping for a decent Windows Phone app / software and I will switch if I have to. I would hate to do that, I really would. I know some students who are looking into Kindle and other avenues for books already. We are asking nicely....

Microsoft has allowed native access to some companies. Maybe Logos can try and get access as well since you obviously have a large following in the Bible software industry.

Prior to releasing a Logos app it seems like releasing a vyrso app might be a simpler first step. Any chance of that as a bridge approach?

another request (vote?) for a logos app for windows mango. even partial functionality (e.g. the ability to read books, even if we can't search them) would be greatly appreciated!

My understandng is that Windows Phone 8 will actually be using Windows 8 for Arm and Windows code should port over quite easily with most Windows code easily resused:

I really, really want to see this on Windows Phone, especially now that we have started using Proclaim. As the technology evangelist at my church, I would love to be able to promote this for iPhone, Android and Windows Phone. For those who are looking for a decent bible app while you wait for Logos, check out youversion.com/download.

Windows Phone platform increases in popularity as Nokia sells "well over 1 million" Lumia Windows Phones.
http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/26/nokia-releases-q4-2011-earnings-report-operating-profits-drop/
Nokia released its latest quarterly earnings report today and has reported selling "well over" 1 million Windows Phones since the Nov 2011 launch. Not bad considering the popularity of Apple and Android and the fact that they are only just starting to ship in North America markets.

Thanks Bob for the update. We'll just have to be patient and wait until the requisite tools that make it less time and resource intensive for yourselves become available.

I've just clicked on Bradley's link to below to add my 3 votes to the MS Uservoice (I'm not a developer but signed up with 2 clicks). Please can all Logos users wanting a WP7 Logos app do the same to hurry up MS?

@jjduro: Learning the Windows Phone 7 APIs isn't the main problem. The issue is: if we can *only* use Windows Phone 7 APIs, and can't reuse native code, we would have to rewrite all our native code from scratch, which could take several years. Interestingly enough, you can vote for a Native SDK at the Windows Phone Developer UserVoice (it's currently the #4 suggestion): http://wpdev.uservoice.com/forums/110705-app-platform/suggestions/1755203-native-sdk-to-support-c-development
