Improve reading aloud
It would be nice if it was on all resources, and you scroll along with the reading.( because if you do that now it will stop reading, and on only one source the computer scrolled along with it, THAT WOULD BE BEST!!)

What happened to the reading voice of David Cochran Heath this new voice is horrible.

Read aloud would also be great if it could incorporate audio books read by humans.
I'm not talking about giving away free audio books. But rather if I have a Logos book that i have the audio to than Logos can play the audio alongside the book.

I also have had a love/hate relationship to the read aloud option. When I scroll up or down the change in what text it reads drives me nuts. If you fix this aspect, it would be nice if it would continue reading regardless of where i scroll to but an arrow (or something) would appear indicating if it is reading from previous pages or from upcoming pages.

This has been a pain for me. It glitches when I try scrolling along with the audio too... Please fix! I plan on using this feature more than any other!

For the screen reader users how about being able to move backward and forward by word? then add an item to the context menu so that if there is a footnote for that word we could hear it spoken or exported? since we have no cursor to use we cant move to the links and click on them.So all we can do now is read books but can't do any studying like I am used to in Libronix.

Logos will not be developing or bundling additional voices with Logos 4, but will continue to support all installable voices that use Microsoft's speech API. Nextup.com has a wide variety of voices, many of which claim to be SAPI4 and SAPI5 compatible so they should work with Logos 4.

Bradley, its great that Logos intends to fix Read Aloud. The phrase "in a future version" is frustratingly ambiguous enough to back-burner it for years while placating current and potential users. It is desperately in need of a speech engine that supports voices that do not make our ears bleed. C'mon Logos, I know there are high priority issues that must be addressed and sleek attractive features everyone wants to play with.... but Read Aloud is NEEDED by your Visually Impaired community.

Logos 4 will use whichever voice is selected in "Text to Speech" settings in Control Panel; if Neospeech voices are available there, you can select them for Logos 4 to use.

I don't know which text to speech engine Logos 4 uses (Microsoft's?) but if possible, I'd recommend that Logos looks into Neospeech. This is the best I have heard and I believe that a quality audio reader would generate a lot of enthusiasm.

I would LOVE to have this suggestion available in ALL resources and with a group of REALISTIC sounding voices that come with it. Or at least made available to buy. :)
