Use the built-in Mac OS text-to-speech ability, with the computer reading all or selected text
Mac OS X has long had a decent text-to-speech capability, reading all or selected text in various document formats using system voices. This can either be built into the Logos menu system or used via Services.

This is now implemented however it is slightly buggy in that when you scroll the speech stops. If you can set up so that a whole page is on screen it works pretty well.
