Make an intelligent flash card program for vocab & Bible verse memorization.
Once vocab lists are reintroduced, make it intelligently able to quiz the users, learning what words (Verses) the user knows and which ones he/she doesn't. Model it after supermemo.

The Flashcard app is now available for iOS and Android: http://blog.logos.com/2014/03/new-free-greek-and-hebrew-flashcard-app/

Anki. Anki. Anki. Why waste valuable personnel resources re-inventing the wheel. Also using Anki for language and memorization (and other memorization) also allows for those decks to be shared among a much larger community.
Anki supports images, audio, videos and scientific markup. That means you could attach sound and start memorizing pronunciation of those hard greek and hebrew words. Anki intelligently sorts cards based on how well you've memorized them, greatly increasing memorization efficiency. Anki has shared decks that you can download from an open community. The Anki community already have multiple Greek and Hebrew decks you can download and start learning now, including "Greek New Testament vocab (unicode format)"
It would take years to develop something that even has 50% of the functionality of Anki. Logos is the best Bible study software out there. I'd say focus on being an Ace in that area and refer other to good resources like Anki for flash card memorization.

Good start with Logos 5, but it needs some improvements:
* ability to memorize chunks of more than one verse at a time
* a way to review and test yourself on verses you've memorized already -

I'm enjoying trying out the memorization tools in the passage lists of Logos 5. The "established memorization method" Bob mentioned is great and works well. I'm looking forward to the "algorithm for smartly rotating and reviewing cards" though!

I look forward to this tremendously. Just last week I was combing the iPad app store to see if thre was anything I could use to help provide a systematic way for me to memorize scripture. I had done away with index cards after 3 weeks. I have in the end been using www.memverse.com, but I want to stay within Logos.
This feature will be valuable!!!! THANK YOU!

I have a lot of Hebrew flash cards on the libronix system that is not used with the Logos 4 system. Hebrew flash cards are important to me and I use then just about everyday. My old Lbxvl files are not useable anymore. Bummer. I have hundreds of hours into building these cards.

I too look forward to the flash card program. While I have only heard bits and pieces about the program let me put my 2 cents worth in. It seems obvious that what Logos users want a program which will allow them to learn the Greek language well enough to sight read the GNT. I was encouraged when L3 came out with the flash card functionality to print out flash cards. I hope the new L4 program will allow us to tailor our list of words from individual chapters of the GNT. Once we have determined our list it would be nice to be able to choose word count frequency, difficulty or other parameters in running the flash card program. That way we would not only be able to learn all the Greek words in a specific chapter of the bible but would not be forced to work with all the high frequency words we should already know. Anyway, that's my .02 worth.

It's a shame Logos dropped the flash card program instead of improving it in Logos 4.

Bible Verse Memorization seems to be an aside, just to be mentioned. Create to do quizing where things are, BUT knowing the scripture is the most important thing in this request. We have lost this ability in our society. Not have to carry a bible or using an iPhone for our scripture reference would be powerful. What happens if your iPhone is out of juice... and someone comes and asks you about your faith... what scriptures are you going to use... what if you are asked about sinning after coming to Christ, what scriptures are you going to reference and quote? We are all called to be Priests, so when are we going to act like one?
The intelligent flash card program would be great, but without the ability to print them, it is useless. But, on the intelligent flash card concept, having the ability for it to prompt you to re-do the scripture you have already memorized is just as important.
