Add an Info window that tells you what is being updated.
Please add an information window which would allow users to see exactly what is updating such as we had in Logos 3. Updates should not require scouring the forums to see what books or files have been updated.
This is implemented in 4.2a.
Home page shows what has been updated on the homepage.

"Twould would be nice.
It would also be nice to have some type of resource history screen showing information such as the date a given resource was acquired, the bundle(s) (if applicable) the resource originated from, an update history, etc.
I'd also like to be able to edit the spelling/punctuation for the author and type fields for sorting/categorizing purposes. John MacArthur, for instance, has 4 spelling variations resulting in 4 line listings in the Library search function. [MacArthur, John] [MacArthur, John F. Jr.] [MacArthur, John F., Jr.] [MacArthur, John, Jr.] Perhaps this can be accomplished now. If so, I don't know how. Help!
One more thing, I'd like to be able have an option where ONLY that author's resources are displayed in a search. Using John MacArthur for my search example again yields titles where Dr. MacArthur is simply mentioned as an endorser of a given resource. Even if the good doctor wrote a forward for someone else I'd like to be able to see ONLY John MacArthur titles. MacArthur forwards, etc., would be a nice optional search function.

Please notify us what is being downloaded/updated in L4. It would also be nice to see an upload log history to know what has been done.

Echo everyone else here. I would like to know what was changed before the download starts so I can decide whether I want to download the (often) massive file.

can we have an announcement on the homepage that tells us about imminent updates and likely size range, with a link to the wiki site? I have a monthly limit on my internet allowance, which I also share with my neighbours' grandsons, who turn out to be far heavier users than I expected.... So it would be helpful to know when to expect the update and a link to the info so I can plan when I download it. Last big download took 5 days (!!!) and didn't contain anything I needed urgently. Last mini download was killing bugs that were not affecting me, so could have waited if necessary.

This would be very helpful as I am very curious when I receive a large download.

All of the other software I use lets me know that there is an update and what is being updated. I DO NOT want (or ask for) the ability to select or choose which updates I want or don't want ... I do ask that Logos lets the customer know what is being updated. We need this feature.

I arranged my books into categories and collections. I need to know when a new book is added to my library so I can properly classify it. Right now, a new book purchased by community pricing or pre-pub automatically is entered into my library the next time I log on, but I never have a list of the new materials.
This is a real annoyance, so please implement a fix that records newly added resources and keeps that list in place until I remove a resource because I have categorized it.
Thanks in advance.

I am suprised that such "Big News" as an update isn't placed on the Homepage each time we get one. That way we, (Okay so I) can have fun trying out the new tools! And see just how great Logos is getting!!

One possible way of giving us what we want would be a "last updated date" column in the Library, which we could sort by.

Just wanted to reinforce to Logos that this feature request is simply to inform us what is being updated and not to choose updates. Bob has stated that he does not agree with choosing updates for various understandable reasons. This feature request has ALWAYS been about informing us on updates and not update selection. Just please give us a window or history that tells us what you are updating on our computers.
