Enable links within Notes to be selected like in Footnotes
I often incorporate links to other resources in my Notes. For example, I will attach a note a particular verse that will reference a certain commentary, so I will include the URL link to that reference so in the future I can open directly to that commentary for more detail when I study that particular verse again.
There are two problems with Notes at this time:
1) When you hover over the note box (the little yellow box in the resource) the Links to other references do not appear in blue, so you do not know if it is a link or just plain text.
2) When you click on the yellow box, it opens the entire note file, rather than just the Note itself in a small window like with footnotes.
It would be so nice (and intuitive) if you could select Notes just like you do footnotes in other resources. For footnotes in the ESV, for example, first you hover over the footnote letter to see what is text and links the footnote contains. Then you can click on the the footnote letter to fix the text window on the screen so you can then move your cursor to an embedded link for viewing or to click on it to open that particular linked resource. Notes should work this same way. Clicking on the yellow note box should fix the note text on the screen so you could then move your cursor to an embedded link for viewing that linked resource or click on it to open that linked resource.
In summary, I suggest that:
a) links within notes should be shown blue
b) a single click on the yellow note box should fix the note text in the window so the link could then be selected (behavior just like footnotes)
c) a double click on the yellow note box could open the note file itself
Thanks for consideration of this request.
