  2. When I have sorted my Bible search analysis by column, I would like the order to be retained when I export to a spreadsheet.

  3. When the Logos applications starts up, I'd like it to bring up the resources I had open when I last exited the application rather than the home page. It would be nice to have a preference for that.

  5. Allow the uncollapsing of a single note from compact view (or when going to full view, allow the selection of a note and then bring that note to be in view, not scrolled off the bottom of the window.)

Allow reordering of the compact list of notes by dragging individual collapsed notes or with by selecting a collapsed note then using up/down arrows.

Drag-and-drop reordering and Expanding a single note in compact view is present in 4.1.

  7. Please reference the following thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/19533.aspx

This tool would produce the word or words used to translate a single Greek or Hebrew word in one verse only and in user-selected Bible versions. It would be best to group these by translated word with the versions listed that use that word/words.

For example Greek macrothumia in 2 Timothy 3:10:

    Patience

NIV NLT NRSV NAS ESV LEB

    Longsuffering

    NKJV, AV 1873, KJV

This would enable a fast comparison of how a single word is translated by different translators in one place (a chosen verse).

It would be ideal to make this available…

  8. I'd like to be able to select passages and "tag" them with topics of my choosing then be able to search by my tags. For instance, find all passages that are tagged with "humility" and "examples". A friend has explained how Notes and Clippings can sort-of fulfill my use-case, but they're an imperfect substitute.

Optional features would include a clickable tag cloud and a separate window which would show all the tags for currently visible passages.

  10. I like that when I search for a particular lemma in the Bible I can then sort by whichever column in the analysis I want, but it would be nice to sort by multiple columns, for example if I want to sort by mood and then by tense and then by voice. Currently it will sort by one of those and then the secondary sort is by reference.

To sort by multiple columns, click the first column to sort, then hold down SHIFT and click additional columns to add secondary sorting.

To group by multiple columns, drag multiple columns in succession to the “Drag a column header here” area.

  13. The ability to purchase resources on logos.com and instead of being added to your resources, you can 'gift' them to another user. I don't know of a better gift to receive than to get another resource for my library!

  16. The ability to add tags to notes, highlights, etc. with the ability to search for those tags. This will greatly enhance finding and organizing your notes across resources. It would also be great to be able to create 'smart groups' like in iTunes based on your tags.

  17. Right now the purpose of the collections is only to search within the resources of the collections.

It would be helpful to have the collections also available in the library so that we can also find resources by collections.

  18. Please add an information window which would allow users to see exactly what is updating such as we had in Logos 3. Updates should not require scouring the forums to see what books or files have been updated.

    This is implemented in 4.2a.

  19. There were two recent posts on the Logos 4 forum that objected to Copy Verses rearranging verses in canonical order rather than in the order in which they are entered. My issue may be related to that one; however, I thought it worthwhile to make my specific request as well.

My issue is this. Prior to 4.0d, I could enter the following in the entry field for Copy Verses: 1 Pet 2:19, 20-23, and Copy Verses would give me two results: (1) 1 Pet. 2:19 by itself, and (2) 1 Pet. 2:20-23 as a separate result. (This was my intention…

  20. Currently there is no way to know which layout is currently loaded. It would be good to have the name of the currently loaded layout displayed in the title bar.
Also, the way L4 is updating layouts is not intuitive enough. You have to remember which layout you have opened before you can update it.
It would be good to have an option in the layout menu to save/update the current layout without needing to remember its name.

Logos 5.0b added the concept of an “active layout”. The active layout’s name is displayed in the title bar. You can click “Update active” in the Layouts menu (or press Ctrl+Alt+L/Cmd+Alt+L) to update the active layout without having to remember its name.
