  2. Allow the uncollapsing of a single note from compact view (or when going to full view, allow the selection of a note and then bring that note to be in view, not scrolled off the bottom of the window.)

Allow reordering of the compact list of notes by dragging individual collapsed notes or with by selecting a collapsed note then using up/down arrows.

  4. Please reference the following thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/19533.aspx

This tool would produce the word or words used to translate a single Greek or Hebrew word in one verse only and in user-selected Bible versions. It would be best to group these by translated word with the versions listed that use that word/words.

For example Greek macrothumia in 2 Timothy 3:10:

    Patience

NIV NLT NRSV NAS ESV LEB

    Longsuffering

    NKJV, AV 1873, KJV

This would enable a fast comparison of how a single word is translated by different translators in one place (a chosen verse).

It would be ideal to make this available…

  5. There were two recent posts on the Logos 4 forum that objected to Copy Verses rearranging verses in canonical order rather than in the order in which they are entered. My issue may be related to that one; however, I thought it worthwhile to make my specific request as well.

My issue is this. Prior to 4.0d, I could enter the following in the entry field for Copy Verses: 1 Pet 2:19, 20-23, and Copy Verses would give me two results: (1) 1 Pet. 2:19 by itself, and (2) 1 Pet. 2:20-23 as a separate result. (This was my intention…

  6. The ability to purchase resources on logos.com and instead of being added to your resources, you can 'gift' them to another user. I don't know of a better gift to receive than to get another resource for my library!

  7. I'd like to be able to select passages and "tag" them with topics of my choosing then be able to search by my tags. For instance, find all passages that are tagged with "humility" and "examples". A friend has explained how Notes and Clippings can sort-of fulfill my use-case, but they're an imperfect substitute.

Optional features would include a clickable tag cloud and a separate window which would show all the tags for currently visible passages.

  8. I imagine that many users have years of notes, sermons, outlines, and other forms of digital resources in text form. If Logos 4 could index these locally stored files for keywords or references, they could possibly be integrated into the "passage guides" when researching.

  9. I also use the OliveTree Bible reader on the iPod Touch and one feature I really like in that product involves the ability to split the screen in two. You can have a commentary open in one panel and the Bible open in the other. This makes referring to another resource a lot more natural than having to exit out of one to pull up the other.

  10. The ability to add tags to notes, highlights, etc. with the ability to search for those tags. This will greatly enhance finding and organizing your notes across resources. It would also be great to be able to create 'smart groups' like in iTunes based on your tags.

  11. Provide a means to change the highlight style that V.4 “Notes” places in the text.
V.3 permitted selecting from the Visual highlight palate.

  12. It seems strange that a company based in North America added a Swedish interface and neglected French. Please add this option. As a side note, only 1 french Bible is available by download...pretty slim.

  13. For some folks reading black and white on a backlight screen can be tough on the eyes. The Kindle apps offers different text/background color options which make reading much easier. Please implement something like this for the iPhone/iPad app.

  14. Let's face it, iPhones are quite ubiquitous, but not every body is on AT&T. In fact, last I checked, Verizon has as many customers as AT&T and Sprint combined. So there is a large user base out there who are graduating into the Google equivalent of the iPhone operating system (called Android) and the Android app store is formidable and growing. I would just like to see the Logos app released for the Android platform.

  17. I would love to see a 2 page reading mode. Where I don't have to read all the way across a widescreen monitor. I believe this is how many e-book readers do it.

  18. I would like the ability to search for the cognates of a Hebrew tri-consonantal root or a Greek stem. Currently, one must manually look up all the cognates of a word and run multiple searches or construct a search with a wildcard.

See http://community.logos.com/forums/t/16050.aspx for more discussion and details.

  19. Right now the purpose of the collections is only to search within the resources of the collections.

It would be helpful to have the collections also available in the library so that we can also find resources by collections.

  20. Please add an information window which would allow users to see exactly what is updating such as we had in Logos 3. Updates should not require scouring the forums to see what books or files have been updated.
