Mac version: it would be great to have the tabs function as they do in Safari browser, whereby closing the tab is an 'x' within the tab.
It would be great to have the tabs function as they do in Safari browser, whereby closing the tab is an 'x' within the tab as opposed to having the 'x' at the far right of the tabbed section. It is sometimes unclear which tab will be closed due to its current position. I do realize a shading gradient it the current method to see which tab it currently open. However, this suggestion would allow one to close any tab without making it the active tab.

I agree, and I work in Windows.
To close a tab that is behind another one, two steps are currently required: first, go to the hidden tab; second, close it. It would be nice if a process such as tabs closure would be simplified as expected. -

I agree. I often have multiple tabs open. I use the Windows version, and your point is the same. Firefox must work like Safari based on what you describe. I would like to see Logos move the X next to the tab, rather than its current location on the far right.
