Improve the highlighting function: bolder color, enable in footnotes, enable Ctrl+Z undo

  1. Offer a bolder yellow highlighter. The current yellow is like a faded marker.

  2. Allow highlighting in footnotes. For some reason they can't be highlighted.

  3. Enable all Ctrl-Z functionality. Seriously, this is an irritating problem. It's tricky to select exactly what one wants to highlight. If one makes a mistake, he has to go open up the tool, re-select, and erase. WORSE, I just made a very slight slip that ended up highlighting a whole large section. I had no choice but to erase it all... which meant losing all my previous highlighting. It should be subject to Ctrl-Z step by step undoing just like everything else in Windows

    I too would like the Ctrl-Z undo--and not just undo the last action, but to be able to choose from multiple undo's.
    I also want the ability to highlight footnotes.

    Yes! Please add Ctrl-Z.

    I just accidentally erased some highlights and no I have to read the whole section again to re-highlight it.

    May I suggest that user-defined highlighting options should appear at the top of the pull-down list rather than the bottom? When someone goes to the trouble of creating a custom highlight style chances are they find it more useful for their purposes than the pre-defined choices and would prefer not to have to scroll through all those others in order to reach the option(s) they created. Thanks.

    Just a comment: apart from the "Remove annotation" option, one can also undo highlighting by selecting text, then hitting Ctrl+Shift+K. (Just like Ctrl+K adds default highlighting.)
    But yes, having Ctrl+Z available would be nice. Even more important IMO is having the highlighting function available in footnotes.

    Ctrl-Z & Ctrl-Y are commands that work on sooooooo many programs. Even after failing a thousand times in Logos, I still hit Ctrl-Z out of habit when I want to undo a highlight.
    please enable them!

    Definitely need Ctrl-Z undo/redo. Nothing worse than using "Erase" on the highlight pane and discovering that it considers (unrelated) notes a form of highlighting and destructively deletes them too.

    I am new to Logos, and most things seem intuitive, but I must agree that as I have started using the highlight operations, I am finding it very frustrating just to undo the last command or just undo one of the highlights, please look into this. Thanks. Rob ps I thought it was just me not knowing how to use the software.

    Yes we need a Ctrl-Z for notes! Needed it yesterday, today and will need it tomorrow! Logos show us a little mercy!

    CTRL-Z and a feature to select which of the applied highlights I'd want to remove on my selection!
    Highlighting footnotes too, of course.

    I have a number of resources that have some LONG footnotes and I would love to be able to use highlighter within them. I agree with the ctrl-Z functionality, too.

    You can always erase one particular highlight by locating it in the 'note' file and erasing it from there. That leave all other highlights intact.

    You also don't need to reselect before you can erase. Just right-click anywhere on the highlight and choose Remove Annotation. (This method does remove other highlights in that same spot, though.)

    But I agree about Ctrl/Cmd-Z and highlighting in footnotes.

    I agree with this one. It would also be nice with the Ctlr+Z, or Command+Z on Mac, to be able to choose which highlight (or all) to erase in a section when you press the erase button. I have also lost a lot of highlights because of this button.
