Night Mode for PC/Mac
While I frequently use "Night Mode" to read on my ipad, I find that there are times that it would be immensely useful to have the same ability on a PC/Mac.
Perhaps, in the "Resource Panel Background Settings" area you could add the ability to select a black background with white text when reading at night.
Another route would be to make a simple button on the menu bar for "Night Mode".

Done in Logos 9.

With the introduction of dark mode on the latest version of Mac OS, apps which don't offer a dark/night mode seem really incongruous. Inverting colours won't cut it

I agree 100% all this white space is blinding after hours of study.

I agree that Logos for PC/Mac needs the same dark mode feature that is available for the iOS and Android apps. Inverting the colors or applying a high contrast theme is not a great solution as it really destroys the UI and other things I have open on multiple monitors.

This is very much needed. Currently, while using the darkest setting, my eyes hurt and I'm developing a headache after about 15-20 minutes of using Logos.
Inverting the colors on the computer is not a good solution to this issue. It makes everything, including Logos, look like crap. It is especially detrimental when viewing images. Making users have to constantly switch color inversion on and off makes for a very poor user experience.

When using the Windows Theme High Contrast Black, the background of most applications is black and the letters of the words are white. but in many Logos resources the letters are not visible since the letters are white and the background is white too. I tired to fix this problem by clicking Tools> Program Settings > Accessibility > Resource Panel Background and then gray which is the darkest color available there. But it is not dark enough since the letters are white and the background gray. There is not enough contrast and so difficult to read.
Can Logos add an option for a black background or maybe a dark gray that is not completely black?
Or could Logos add some font colors like white so that when it is reversed with the High Contrast Black Theme in Windows, then it becomes black font for the letters on a gray background.
I just need the letters and the background to have a lot of contrast.
Thanks Carol Pebley -

The magnifier option is way too clunky. Slowes down computer makes navigating logos software a burden. The night mode on iPad is great. And works wonderfully without effecting the rest of the system. I tried the magnifier on windows 7 trying to move around and click on things was cumbersome and my screen began to flicker. And that is on a Autocad workstation with plenty of ram and graphics memory

I made the same request a while back. Please implement. I'm 39 years old have had eye problems my whole life. I really want to be able to use the tools for studying in pc program. Instead I'm stuck on the iPad trying to type notes. With retinal and cataract issues the black background makes a Hugh difference.

+1 for a dark UI. I'd even be down for writing my own JSON theme or whatever format if it was made extensible.

I know this was requested three years ago, but please please please please please consider it!

I love this idea. Maybe one tweak I would add would be to suggest that these only be available in reading mode to alleviate the confusion created by so many themes?

I agree 100%. Customer satisfaction is key!

Sorry, as I indicated in the forums, I do not support this idea. It seems too confusing to be useful to the average user. A simple change in the background color of a page based on type or tags would be far more useful to me.

Create set of Themes with current Resource Panel Background choices:
• Black on White
• Black on Gray
• Black on LightGray
• Black on Snow (Paper)
• Black on Windows Default
• Black on WhiteSmokeAdd a "Mobile Reader" theme with light yellow background and dark brown text.
• Mobile SaddleBrown on LemonChiffon
Add a set of "Night Mode" themes: black background with various foreground colors.
• Night Mode Blue on Black
• Night Mode ForestGreen on Black
• Night Mode FireBrick on Black
• Night Mode Gold on Black
• Night Mode FloralWhite on BlackAdd "Street Sign" theme using colour combinations from Traffic signs:
• Street Sign Black on DarkOrange
• Street Sign Black on LemonChiffon
• Street Sign FloralWhite on MediumBlue
• Street Sign LemonChiffon on SaddleBrown
• Street Sign Snow on DarkGreen
• Street Sign White on DarkRedWikipedia has => https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colors#Web_colors with Web color names that have been used in Theme names.
Program Setting Accessibility change from choosing Resource Panel Background to choosing a Theme with initial Theme that matches current Resource Panel Background.
Background colo(u)r in all panels and tabs would be affected by Theme choice.
For dark background, may want to invert visual filter and highlighting.
Being able to choose Themes in all apps and applications would be awesome.
Choosing Theme per resource would be incredible; add a field in Library to show Theme and allow Theme to be set for many selected resources.

Great idea. This will also safe power for any LED pixelated (e.g. OLED) display

Allow back ground through complete software to be changed to black as an option. Black background is used by the military for looking at computer screens for long periods of time. I have been designing home on a computer for 20 years and I think black ground is the most comfortable back ground in my experience. When I am in a church setting where lighting is low, the black background causes less disturbance to other people in the audience by not being so bright such as a white background which the white background can only be reduced so much by dimming.
