Sermon File Add-In
Please get the Sermon File Add-In running for Logos 4

The Sermon File feature has been redesigned as a feature of Personal Book Builder; see http://wiki.logos.com/Sermon_and_Illustration_Support.

An "Import Sermon Files" command was added in the latest 4.6c/5.1 betas to import Libronix sermon files.

Thank you - I've actually just upgraded to Logos 5
How do I access and use the sermon file add-in, I understood it is there.
I have 'Silver' -

Sermon files can be added as personal books now, so I'm removing my vote for this.

All the Sermon File features of 4.6a are also in Logos 5.

Great news - will give it a go!
And how does this relate to Logos 5 now - I"m guessing it's included in Logos 5 as well. Is that right?
If I set up my sermons in Logos 4 Sermon File Add-In, will they just port across when I upgrade to Logos 5? -

Chuck, I agree with you. I bought Sermon Add-in when it came out and have been waiting for it. It is frustrating that we haven't had any update other than it is planned. I would love to get rid of my L3 install and concentrate on L4, but I need this functionality.

Has this been "Planned" since April 03, 2010? That is over two years ago. It would be nice if Logos would provide an update on the reason why this has not been started and establish an estimated start date. I do love my Logos and use it quite regularly, but this has been a bit of a disappointment. Thx though to the Logos team for all that you have accomplished ... keep at it!

I think we should all campaign this in the forums and see if we can make this a hot button topic. I have been waiting on this since the rolled out L4. It's one of the reasons I made the switch.

I've come to the point with Logos that until I see otherwise, they care less about their promises to long time customers. Failure after failure to deliver. Number one reason why I refuse to recommend the product anyone else. If anything it's time to suggest the competition and let Logos play website provider with faithlife

I hate to sound as though I lack in faith, however I have waited so long I am beginning to doubt whether Logos has any plans whatsoever. I am not as angry as I am dissapointed and hurt by Logos.

Wow, I was pointed to this forum by logos support, why are they seemingly so proud of what amounts to (from this list of posts) two years of broken promises.
The company line was for users to continue to use libronix three until they got Logos 4 sermon addin up and running. Now even this is broken and they will not even talk about it or offer support for it.
As is already pointed out in this forum, this is a feature users paid for and the personal book application, while it does some good things, simply does not do what sermon addin does.
See Ken Chritcley's post (Dec 2011) for the features that are missing from personal books. -

I love L4 but the Sermon FIle Add-In is the feature I miss the most in L4. PBB is OK, but I enjoyed the way the Sermon File Add-In worked.

I'm with these guys - was really useful in L3. When, oh when, is it coming out for L4. Thanks

What is the status on the development of the Sermon File Add-In for Logo 4? It was suppose to be out last year. Has development been ditched on this project? It sure seems that way.

I've started using scriply.com (two days ago) and find it fits my needs regarding sermon prep notes. I like the idea that people could go to my site (blog, whatever) and see how I'm interacting with the texts during the week. I'll probably end up publishing sermons to my blog (which I also only set up a few days ago). What I'd LOVE to see is a solution from Logos that allowed me to combine both those things with L4 in some cool and slick manner that only Logos could do.

Features I see as important
1. A way to input text used, date and location preached, topic, etc. hopefully with an index linking it to the text so when I am reading the Bible, I can see that I have sermons on that text.
2. Simple to use: it needs more functionality than notes, clippings, etc. but cannot be as complicated as PBB (unless using a shell).
3. Import from word with headings, etc. intact.
4. Ability to import docs but also build the sermon within and export. -

All we need is some minor changes to notes, and we would not need a sermon file add-in.

I thought I had seen an add-in available on the Logos.com website several months ago. Got really excited about it. Put it on my mental wish list. Then looked here to purchase today and can no longer find it on the site! I've done every kind of search possible, and nothing! Now I navigate to this forum to see that my hopes are shared by many, and long-awaited! Do we know what the status of the Logos 4 add-in is?!

Hmm, for me, the recently implemented Personal Books feature covers all the bases (assuming that syncing gets added at some point). In fact, for what I used it for, the new Personal Books feature is *better* than the Sermon File Addin (better formatting and better control over images and links).
