Provide management of mytags
Please provide some way to manage mytags, preferably with ability to remove or rename 'specific' tags, and not simply 'delete all tags'. If resources have multiple tags, the only way to manage them is either with a lot of time and patience going through each one, or to create new mytags and leave lots of redundant ones lying around.

Single resource tag editing was improved in Logos 5.2a; multi-resource tag editing was added in Logos 6.3: https://wiki.logos.com/Logos_6.3

This is very helpful. I've been able to do some basic cleanup of old mytags. It looks like this new management of mytags will be very helpful. Thank you.

I think the ultimate uservoice is when people start programming their own utilities... http://community.logos.com/forums/t/73605.aspx Great start. Does not help us mac users out though! :(

I agree with Rosie. This is high up on the list here and has also been mentioned numerous times on the Forum. Considering what else Logos can implement, I cannot believe that this is too hard for them.

Why no response whatsoever from Logos on this idea yet, even if only to say something like "this is too hard; we might consider it but not in the near future"? It's been on UserVoice for over three years, and is among the top 10 requested features. Please give us some sort of response. Thanks.

As our libraries grow, so the usefulness of tags decreases with the current management system. We have to have efficient ways to rename, shift and merge tags. This is a basic database type feature that I hope that Logos will serious considering investing some energy in.

Yes, please! -- In fact, used properly, TAGS can take the place of (instead of complimenting) COLLECTIONS fully. But they need a much more powerful management system. Some tags can be system tag - e.g. "hidden".

Also provide a way to copy a subset or complete set of tags from one book to another all at once. Currently you can only copy and paste them one at a time.

Auto-completion should be considered as this would prevent erroneously creating new tags

I think tagging is a very powerful feature of Logos. There needs to be a better way to manage the tags once they have been applied. What I would call the nuclear option, delete all tags and start over, instead of being able to edit a common set of tags assigned to a group is a feature badly needed.
I did a little database work in the past. From what I can tell the tags are stored in a database. What is being requested is a simple replace or delete function applied to certain records based on certain criteria.
This functionality would be very much appreciated and welcomed. Thanks.

Too bad the title and description of this idea doesn't mention the word 'tag' by itself (only 'mytag') so it doesn't come up in a search for tag or tags. I believe more people would vote for this if they knew it was here. I'm trying to direct people here from the forums.

Much needed feature. Tags are vital but very difficult to use and maintain as library gets larger and larger. Tags are a project to use and not a feature that will work for us:
1. Create and edit Tags globally
2. Easily apply existing tags to single or multiple resources easily (pull down or check box etc.)
3. Ability to apply tags to all items including notes.
4. More robust way to create Collections with tags (simple click which tags should be in collection instead of command line)

I agree with Eric. The use of tags, cross platform, is extremely useful - as demonstrated by Evernote.
As I have mentioned elsewhere, tags in individual notes in note files would be tremendously helpful.

Please also add Drop down functionality when typing tags.
Mytag functionality has been lacking long enough now!!

Evernote is the best execution of tag management I have found. Logos integration with Evernote (some other Bible apps already do this) would enable simple management of personal content combined with insights gathered from non-Logos sources (e.g. websites, blogs, etc.). What a powerful combination that would be!

Moe of MP Seminars is now promoting the extensive use of tags in Camp 2. This feature is a must for all following his advice. And I am convinced that it is very good advice.

I rename tags all the time and I need a way to remove a tag when I have multiple tags. Make life easier for us, please?

Rosie Perera commented
Yes, this is very necessary. We definitely need a way to rename tags, and a way to remove one tag from a group of selected resources that have multiple tags without clearing all their tags.

this would be invaluable for the self monitoring of ones library as discussed in this thread.
