Make the markup function work with the note function such that the Logos products will function cross-platform as a reader.
As it is I buy a lot of books on Amazon for my Kindle, that I would rather have from logos for my in Logos... software.
Here is what I propose:
1. On the desktop: add a highlight option to the right-click menu.
2. Have in the right click menu, the option to save all highlights and notes from this resource to a single file.
3. If one chooses to create this single file of notes and highlights, give the user the option to link that file to the book.
In this way, when the user opens a book on the android app that he had been reading on the desktop and highlights a passage that singular notes/annotations file will be updated. This way, when the user has finished a book, he will have all of his notes and highlights in a single file, independent of, but linked to that book. In essence, he will have an independent book report that he could export out to Word, or keep in Logos.
This is essentially how the Kindle reading app works for kindle books, but with one disadvantage: the single file the kindle creates is only available at an Amazon website: https://kindle.amazon.com/your_highlights.
