This should be in the mobile app uservoice, not the desktop one:

I just started using Logos/FL and I've kept putting it off (over a year now) mainly because of this issue: heretical stuff mixed in with truthful stuff. This applies to Logos resources, packages, and shopping on the website.
I don't want to filter by one particular denomination/branch as that would be too limiting. I do want to exclude certain denominations from all my searches so I don't have to manually examine each and every resource.
Because of this Logos/FL is unwieldy to me.

The bottleneck of everyone's hardware is disk storage. If you're using a hard drive (platter drive), replace it with an SSD, especially on laptops (you'll get far more battery time).
If you have an SSD and are experiencing issues, overprovision it so wear-leveling doesn't cause hangups.
If you're stuck with a platter drive, defragment it; fragmented drives will bring a system to a crawl.
If you're running BitLocker (or other drive encryption--and you should on a portable device), it will slow everything down if it isn't using hardware encryption (only certain drives have that feature).
Also, check memory usage. 4GB RAM isn't enough and hasn't been for years, especially if you run multiple programs concurrently.
Finally, if it's been a couple of years, consider a fresh wipe/install of your OS.
"Just text" is oversimplistic; there is much behind what Logos software does. Additionally, Logos doesn't run in a bubble: there are many potential issues with the machine, OS, configuration, and other software running on it.
Logos runs beautifully on my 3-1/2-year-old laptop (4th gen i7, 16GB RAM, Samsung SSD)--as in, it responds instantly and indexing doesn't slow anything down.

Yes, this is driving me crazy. The Backspace button should also be supported.
In the interim, if your mouse includes software that has the ability to redefine the buttons, change them to the proper keybinds listed in Logos Help (Alt-Left/Right-arrow for Windows) or use a program like AutoHotKey.
