Text Comparison Tool - Percent Difference between verse range, pericopes, chapters, books, testaments, and entire translations
The current Text Comparison tool easily shows you the "% difference" between versions for a single verse.
That's nice, but it's never been useful for me.
What would be useful is to have a roll-up be a verse range, chapter, book, Old Testament, New Testament, or entire Bible between two versions.
For examples:
What the difference between a particular parable (pericope) wording in Matthew, Mark, and Luke in a selected translation?
What's the % difference between the TNIV and the NIV 2011 in Matthew?
What's the % difference between the NA27 and NA28 in the entire Greek New Testament?
What's the % difference between the entire KJV 1769 and the KJV 1900 Pure Cambridge edition?
These are the questions cannot be answered now. No, I don't want to scroll up and down and see the percent difference on each and every verse like I can do now. I want more of a "report roll-up" by verse, verse range, chapter, book, testament, or translation as chosen from a drop down or other selection method.
Somehow, I don't think this should be very hard to code the roll-ups, and it already breaks down by verse.
Thanks so much!
