1. Display the anchor verse reference(s) when hovering over a note icon.

   I would like to be able to display the anchor verse reference(s) when hovering over a note icon to make it clear when a note concerns a range of verses rather than just the one verse where the icon is displayed. Without this, if I create a note for example for Mt 25:31-46, when I encounter this note icon in my bible text I have to click on the icon and open the note to see that the note covers more than just verse 31. Currently, the only way I've been able to find to get the reference to show in the hover card is to manually include the anchor in the note text itself, and I have to bury it part way down in the note or it wastes valuable screen real estate in the compact view display by making the reference show twice.

2. Logos 4 MAC: Hyperlinks from note files viewed in Bible resources

   Currently in a Bible resources (like the ESV) you can hover over an ESV built-in cross reference and click once then the hyperlink to that verse becomes live allowing you to see the verse without switching to a new book of the Bible.

   This function needs to be available for hyperlinks created in note files. I have note files for each book of the Bible and many hyperlinked cross references in those note files that I would like to see in the same way I see the ESV built-in cross references.

3. Update/Correct Lexham Syntactic Greek New Testament: SBL Edition, Expansions and Annotations

   I'm a Bible translator in Indonesia. As I've been translating Ephesians, I've on occasion referenced the Lexham Syntactic Greek New Testament: SBL Edition, Expansions and Annotations. I've consistently found that with more difficult genitive constructs, it simply puts attributive genitive (it may even do that with all the genitive constructs in Ephesians, I'm not sure). However, the 5 or 6 times I've seen that done, the genitive construct is obviously not an attributive genitive. I'm not sure who made the notes on Ephesians, but it needs to be corrected with a more careful eye. I get the impression that it was hastily done.

4. Make the tablet version editable

   Dear LOGOS,
   I have a couple suggestions for future features:

   Suggestions:

   1. I would love to be able to edit my message/sermon on my tablet after writing it on my laptop that way I can adjust anything in between worship gatherings.

   2. A great study feature: I often make notes for cross referencing Scriptures. It would be AWESOME to have an automatic cross reference system where if I make a cross reference from one scripture to another it automatically makes the cross reference back at the other scripture.

   Just a couple ideas.

5. add the ability to submit recent logs with "report a problem"; this should all happen in the logos environment without going to a website.

   I just had some really strange behavior in notes (cursor jumping around and not responding to keyboard by inputting text). I wish I could have clicked the three dots, chose "report problem and send logs" from the pull-down and briefly explained my problem then chose a duration of time of my recent logs I want to include. Then I would click OK. The explanation and recent logs would be sent to logos and I could carry on using the best bible software ever! The logos team could use the logs to figure out what happened. 8. Add a short cut key to add a new note.

   That way you don't have to right click then left click. You can add shortcut keys to highlighter colors. Same would be great for a new note. It would really help me record my ideas as I read scripture and commentaries.

9. Lesson Plan Builder

   This would combine the formatting/component functions of the Handout document with word processing possibilities of a Notes document. The idea is to be able to make a one- or two-page document with different components, and to easily insert content (including text or media) from within Logos. What makes the Handout builder nice, in my opinion, is that it is easy to put things in and take them out and move them all around. Of course this is also easy to do within a word processor, but the point is that this would be integrated as part of Logos, so it would be indexed and included under the Documents menu. This would be more than simply a Personal Book, however, because the point is that it would use the functionality of the Handout builder to create the lesson plan from scratch. It would be different from the Handout builder, because it would not be needed to give out to people, but rather just for the teacher's use. It would also be nice to have pre-made templates to follow that are based on actual research (like the Elements of Effective Instruction, EEI), or what pastors learn to do in seminary.

10. Give users more control over Copy Verses

    There were two recent posts on the Logos 4 forum that objected to Copy Verses rearranging verses in canonical order rather than in the order in which they are entered. My issue may be related to that one; however, I thought it worthwhile to make my specific request as well.

    My issue is this. Prior to 4.0d, I could enter the following in the entry field for Copy Verses: 1 Pet 2:19, 20-23, and Copy Verses would give me two results: (1) 1 Pet. 2:19 by itself, and (2) 1 Pet. 2:20-23 as a separate result. (This was my intention by entering it the way I did, with the comma between vv. 19 and 20.)

    Now, the same entry as above yields only one result: 1 Pet 2:19-23 as a combined entry.

    Further, if I enter 1 Pet 2:19; John 14:6; 1 Pet 2:20-23 (trying to break up the 1 Pet. entries) I still only get two results: (1) John 14:6 (note canonical order), and (2) 1 Pet 2:19-23 (note combined result, rather than separate as entered).

    In my opinion, the new behavior is not an improvement. Strange as it may be, we users might have reasons for entering things the way we do, and it would be nice if the software let us do it, rather than second guessing what we really want. At a minimum, it would be nice if we had the option of choosing how we wanted Copy Verses to work---the way it now does or the way it used to.

    (BTW, over all, I am pleased with the other changes brought in with 4.0d!)

11. Tablet & touchscreen features for personal study and presentations

    I'd like to see Logos and Proclaim incorporate table touchscreen features for a couple of simple reasons.
    1st, being able to take notes in written form (which could be kept in written form or transitioned into typed format) for easier note taking. This would help with personal study time, helping the user with "the old way" of reading and studying the Bible vs. typing it all out along with the process/time needed to select highlighting/underlining/mark ups within the current system. I believe this would also assist in the personal intimacy we should have during our quiet times. Simply put, it would allow a truly book reading experience within the power of Logos.
    Additionally, I having these features in Proclaim would assist in teaching/disciple making. We are part of a house church which has a very personal and interactive format. It is easier, to demonstrate to people how to mark up their Bibles, than it is to simply tell them. Likewise, it would be nice to have the ability to point out a location on a map, circle a key phrase, or write an additional point on a screen for emphasis. In this area, Logos is simply behind the 8 ball and need to catch up with the times. I know it kind of sounds like an oxymoron, but we need to have the technology to perform with the ways of the past. Please develop software that will allow us to do so.

    When using Logos in English with English resources but while also using Spanish (or any other language) resources (particularly noted in the case of the Nueva Biblia Latinoamericana de Hoy) typing the Spanish name for a book of the Bible in the location bar results in a failure to change location. English book names must be used. Spanish abbreviations do not work.

    As specific examples, typing ‹‹Efesios›› results in the address bar reverting to the current location as does ‹‹Ef.›› or any similar variant. Typing ˝Ephesians˝ or ˝Eph˝ or a similar variant results in an immediate change.

    At present, only a global change of language fixes this problem, BUT this does not solve the overall issue for users who have multiple language resources in their libraries (mine currently has Spanish, English, and German, if I remember correctly).

13. Enable Export of Workflow Data INCLUDING Text Headers and Questions: Educational Necessity

    As a teacher working at a school that is requiring students to purchase and use Logos in the Fall I've been exploring features I can use to get them acquainted and dependent on it for their studies. Workflows are great. I've built a few that we'd like to use as standards across our whole undergraduate program. The problem is if a student (in a test case me) completes a workflow it shows up as a Note that can be exported.

    However, and here's what I want, the export does not include headers or questions built into the workflow. It would be splendid if an entire workflow, when completed, could be exported as a PDF or Word Doc so that all answers could be seen in line with their questions.

    Doing it this way would allow students to submit work done in a workflow into whatever LMS a school uses. Please make this happen some how!

    Be careful which resources are featured on this page. Some resources featured on my logos were suggestive; I mean they contained ancient art work that was rather immodest. I see this as a problem because there are so many pastors struggling with porn and pictures like this may be all it takes to get someone’s mind going in the wrong direction. I don’t know if these resources are commonly featured and I know settings can be changed to remove them. But I strongly encourage Logos to consider, disabling any content of this type.

    STUDYING

    Including an option to left-click and open commentary at this verse. This option may already exist, but I haven’t found it yet.

    When reading allow pages to "TURN" i think this would significantly increase the reading experience.

    FOR DOCUMENTS

    Allow documents to be sorted by clicking the type of document and then clicking create new. I keep accidentally creating new documents when I don’t want to.

    Also, it would be nice if the documents were sorted in folders by document type instead of having just one long list of all the documents.

    FOR MEMORY
    It would be nice if I could create on memory list and then choose which verse range to practice. I’ve tried doing with Logos 5 and found I’m forced to start with the first verse range. The only work around is to create multiple memory documents.

    Greek/ Hebrew Learning

    I’m not a Greek or Hebrew expert. But I have tried to teach myself a little. I know there is an excellent program developed by www.biblicalulpan.com .I think their material could be incorporated into logos in a very, very intuitive and effective way.

    Having the IndoEuropean roots for Greek, Latin, Gothics [German, Russian, Spanish, English ...] assists in learning the languages, noting the cognates in translation, studying the etymologies, following the arguments of the philology based Biblical scholars of the previous centuries . . .

16. For every note icon color, have the same color option for the highlight option

    For instance, I can choose a red note icon and underline the word in red, but for a yellow or purple note icon, I cannot choose a yellow or purple underline. Please allow underline for all of the colors.

18. Retain Textual Focus after applying Highlight

    When the merger of Highlights into Notes happened, there was a bad secondary impact. When I select text, make a highlight (usually via keyboard shortcut), and then move on to select more text to highlight before the highlighting appears Logos will reset the textual focus, removing what I'd just selected or trimming the selection to the last letter or so.
    
    It didn't work that way before--I highlight heavily, and this need to pause for the highlight to become visible before trying to select text has really slowed me down--especially when I work on my tablet, which is slower than my desktop.

    Please Please fix this so it lets me return to "queuing" highlights.
