  1. I would like to use the Visual Copy feature for my teachings, but I use a specific slide for all my presentations. Is it possible to create a template of my personal slide and add it to the Visual Copy for use?

  3. I often want to see the BDAG definition for the Greek word that stands behind an English translation. I typically right-click the word, then click on the BDAG lexicon entry in the context menu, which opens BDAG to the definition for the lemma. It would be nice if I could do this with a single force click.

  4. Please add "The Voice" bible by Thomas Nelson. It is very easy to read and I like the story flow to it.

  8. DA Carson's For the Love of God, vol 1 & 2, do not load with any readings for any days, even though they are daily devotional readings. This may have been a simple oversight.

  9. I serve as a missionary in Zambia, and having Logos with a great theological library is a great blessing. I wouldn't be able to move with so many books otherwise. Our network here can be rather unstable, however. I've noticed that Logos restarts downloads that fail from the beginning of each file. For resources that tend to be small, this isn't a large issue, but for application updates of around 160MB, this can take a very long time with repeated attempts to finish. When many resources are updated at once, it can also be a large challenge. I recommend allowing…

  10. The program pauses more than a tourist looking for a cheeseburger. It isn't my computer or my connection. It simply thinks too much.

  12. It would be nice to be able to insert links from one resource (e.g. a Bible commentary) to another (e.g. a dictionary). Now I sometimes end up pasting bits of text from one resource into a note attached to another resource. Maybe this is already possible somehow, but I'm not aware of it.

  13. The Journal section of Guides fails to find many good articles for two reasons:

    1) The Journal section only searches for Bible reference links in the title of the article. So if I use the Passage Guide to search the entire book of Romans, I only get one article in Themelios. However, all of JETS is overlooked, because (for some reason) all of the Bible references in JETS titles are unlinked. Also, linked Bible References of chapter (or sub) headings with Themelios are not found, which are often good references. The Journal section search should include not just Bible reference…

The “Journals” section doesn’t just search for Bible references; it searches for articles tagged with a Journal label. This is intended to solve the problem of “a lot of extra hits I need to weed through”. This tagging is ongoing; see https://community.logos.com/forums/t/92625.aspx

If you do just want to search for Bible references in a particular collection of resources, you can add a Collection section to any guide.

  14. IDEA: Have the ability to search for a slide background with keywords, like tree, green, verse. That should bring up the background that is green with a tree and has the ability to have verse reference and Bible version type. Make sense? That, or the ability to mark frequently used slides as favorites so that a user can find it easier when making multiple slides.

WHY THIS IS HELPFUL: I was just using the Visual Copy feature to make Bible Verse slides for a sermon. What I found frustrating was the lack of ability to search for the slide background…

  15. I agree with Donovan and some others. I think you need to come out with a Pentecostal and Charismatic Gold Base Package and include The Stanley Horton Pentecostal bundle, the Modern English Version, the study notes for the Life in the Spirit Study Bible, etc. I nominate Donovan to put it together.

  18. Currently, in order to create separately searchable collections of commentaries, I have to manually aggregate them into separate collections. And of course I have to add any new resource I purchase manually as well. I think it would be very helpful to tag commentaries so that they would be discoverable/searchable as technical, Expository, and Popular. Then, after doing technical exegesis, I could more easily search more practical resources.

  20. Rather than re-inventing the wheel in the notes module of the program, I think it would be smarter to instead release a developer's API so that people could select their own note taking program. I prefer Evernote for quick note taking and DEVONthink for my longer projects.

At the very least, it would be great if the fly-out menu that comes up when we select and then right-click on a text in Libronix, that the "services" (Mac) should be presented so that I can, for instance, create a new note in the DEVONthink inbox.

There are hardworking companies with skilled…
