1. Ability to track time spent in each resource

   I would like to have a record of the time I've spent in each resource. Obviously this would need to include an idle timeout of a couple minutes without activity for times when the program (resource) was left open. Primarily, I need to see some form of shaded graph of each resource that is darkest where I've spent the most time. So if it's a Bible, it would show me that while I've read the entire Bible (and the entire graph would be shaded), the NT is shaded darker than the OT. Specifically, I might be able to see that I'm spending much more time in the Gospels than in the Torah. To be able to visually see this with a gradient-like shaded graph that is darkest in the areas I've read the most. Furthermore, I'd like access to the data that creates that graph. I'd like to see that I've spent 25 hours in my Commentary on Ephesians (for example) and that I've read through the section on chapter 2, but haven't read through any other areas of that book. So the unshaded areas in the graph would indicate that I haven't read that section of the book.

   I think that Logos is already tracking this information somehow, as I can see what appears to be a similar feature in the iOS apps - When I open the Library, next to each resource is a shaded graph that appears to show the sections of each book I've read. Furthermore, in the desktop version I know that I can sort my Library by my most used resources. Is that most used by the times accessed? Or most used by the hours spent in each? Access to this data and the ability to utilize it for the betterment of my study would be most helpful.

2. Make it easier to highlight Bible text

   Please consider giving the option to highlight text with a right click, similar to what you are already doing in the mobile apps - show the highlights that you most commonly use (4 or 5). Having to use the Highlight window is cumbersome, I feel.

3. A way to mark books as 'read' in the library window.

   Could be as simple as a tick box, or could take the functionality from the iOS app which shows progression.

4. Add Tab Key support to form fields for quickly moving between fields

   When entering text into a workbook, it is frustrating to have to use the mouse to move to each field. It would be nice to be able to use the tab key to move focus to the next field.

   The current implementation of linked commentaries has some difficulties in its use (Logos 4). When you cycle through commentaries using the left and right keys, the bible verse that is being linked to may change if the commentary you are viewing does not have the particular verse covered. However, if you cycle back to a commentary which does have that verse, your bible will move back to your original verse.*

   There are however some problems with this that make it really difficult for me to use.

   If you are in a commentary which does not cover the particular verse, but rather covers a range which includes your verse, the moment you do anything in the commentary, for example page down to read the parts of the article which are off screen, the bible reference changes and when you cycle to your original commentary, the bible does not go to your original verse, rather it is now synced to where you went in the commentary
   If you are in a commentary, which does cover your verse, you may still want to read the introductory material for that chapter or book and doing so has the same effect on the bible. It changes to a different reference and you have now lost you position and have to find it using the back button or manually move to your original verse.
   I saw that one of the competing products has the concept of leaders and followers when looking at linked resources. This would be a good concept to implement for bibles and commentaries. So that you could move around in a linked commentary as a follower and the leader (the bible) would not change its reference. A manual method (button/keystroke) could be added to have the leader resource sync up with the current location in the current follower resource, but it would no longer happen automatically for follower links.

   *There are exceptions where you can end up in a commentary where the left and right arrow scrolls the page and then you loose the original reference when you use the drop down to cycle back, "The Bible Reader's Companion" and "The teachers Commentary" are two. In these cases, I have to use the drop down to change back to my original commentary, however, my bible reference remains changed. In the bible pane, I then use the "back" arrow button" (which does not move me back to my original verse, rather it moves me to the verse before where I was when I started the exercise), then use the "Forward Arrow" button which moves me back to my starting point. This is another weirdness in behaviour.

7. Allow each pane to have an individual background color

   As people age, they need to vary the background colors available. Each pane should have both the background and foreground colors to be individually set by the user. This will also allow the user to better track his place in the software

8. Ability to write notes within the Bible text or any resources

   Just like scribbling notes on the actual bible, I would like to see Logos having the ability to do this.

   The following is what I've suggested in the forum http://community.logos.com/forums/t/29386.aspx

   "From what I'm currently seeing from the bible text that is associated to the note files is how the Visual Filters Menu (the three circles on top of the book's toolbar) controls the overall visual of all the highlighting, notes, etc. on the bible text. We check and uncheck to hide/show those notes and highlights. My point is these visual filters provide an idea on how we can control which note files to receive the scribbling. Since we have the capability to highlight visually, the only thing lacking is the bible text is not integrated with notes taking. Currently, we have to open another window, place them side-by-side, through a couple of clicks, scroll up and down through all the notes in order to add personal notes, and eventually all new ideas are gone by the time we search for the right verse. Through these tedious steps, the square colored box would only appear next to the selected bible text. If we have something like a "Notes Menu" on the toolbar that we can click to create new notes, delete, turn on/off notes taking and to select/deselect which note files to receive scribbling, it would cut back a lot of those troublesome steps. Visually, when note taking is turned on, an empty adjustable margin corresponding to each verse and chapter at the side of the window would be great for writing notes. It helps cross referencing side-by-side in one glance. We type immediately when a fresh idea comes; furthermore, our eyes are still fixing on the biblical text. The hovering of the mouse over the square colored box is good only when we are not intended to write any note but only for references."

9. Keynote capability for Logos 5 on Mac

   I have Logos 5 on Mac. It would be extremely helpful to be able to copy Sermon Started items directly to Keynote.

10. Include SermonAudio mini-sites & allow SermonAudio customization

    With SermonAudio.com having 830,000+ sermons and growing rapidly, the current integration of it in Passage Guide is becoming increasingly less useful.

    • Adding SermonAudio mini-sites (eg ReformedVoice.com) shouldn't take much modification of the existing code. The existing SermonAudio widget could be made customizable - providing a drop-down of mini-sites to choose from.

    • SermonAudio.com offers various ways to rank and filter sermons - including these would help the user cut through the superfluous and only see results they actually want.

11. Making slide development more creative, more like PowerPoint.

    When I make a slide I would like to be able to create it in Proclaim with being able to have multiple fonts, colors within one slide. More like PowerPoint. I would like to create it in Proclaim rather than create it in PowerPoint then import it into Proclaim.

12. Being able to get a signal slide that we develop and put various quotes on.

    When we make a slide and put various quotes from book, articles, professors etc. we would be able to have our church members be able to pull them up with a signal. Just as we do for scripture.

13. Reverse cross reference links

    I am a seminarian. I take notes in Microsoft Word through the duration of a course, adding in (WIKI) links to various resources in my Logos lirbary as well as putting scripture references in my notes (2 Sam 9:9, etc.). Logos does a great job of picking up the linking/cross referencing when I add in my notes in as a personal book. For instance, in my notes I'm able to however over that scripture link and see the reference, or any of he WIKI links I've manually added in.

    My suggestion comes in that I would like there to be a cross reference from my source back to my notes. For instance, when I'm browsing my bible, it would be awesome if there were some indicator at a particular scripture passage (2 Sam 9:9) that I have another document that links or references this passage. So when I'm reading my scriptures, preparing for a homily, I can be notified that this particular passage has been talked about in my notes from these 2 or 3 classes.

    I know the cited by tool has this functionality, but it would be awesome to have it built right into the resources as I'm reading them. So if I'm reading Saint Thomas' Summa Theologiae, I can see that we talked about Question 39 Article 1 in my Ecclesiology class...etc.

    This feature would be extremely powerful!

15. Please make an alternate home page version that is more library oriented.

    The whole reason Logos exists is the books! It would be helpful to have a favorites page and topical-view pages for browsing the library.

16. Add "Early Church Fathers Overview" back into Logos 5.

    The Logos 3 ECF collection included a resource called "Early Church Fathers Overview," which was a TOC of all 37 volumes. This is not included in the Logos 5 edition of ECF. (it is in the Catholic edition, but not the Protestant edition). If you were looking for the writings of let's say "Polycarp", you didn't need to know which ECF volume to open, but you could search the Overview. I know you create an ECF collection and search for "Polycarp" in the collection, but some of these authors are referenced by many other early church fathers, and it is difficult to weed through the results to find what Polycarp actually authored (especially since he may not have referred to his own name). If you can search an Overview, then his writing will stand out easily. And the Overview had the links to open the resources.

17. Support the use of Chromecast - for videos especially, but also for other visual resources.

    Chromecast enables one-click "broadcasting" of video (or other content) onto your HD television for better viewing. Extremely helpful in classroom or presentation settings, but also nice at home.

18. Integrate the Wish Lists with Sales notifications.

    It seems that since Logos knows what is on wish lists, and it knows what is on sale, that it wouldn't take much to trigger a notification that a resource on a wish list is on sale. However, for people who have wish lists it would be much nicer to know something that you want is on sale, than always have to check if it is, or not. And since Logos is a business the upside is that it would likely boost sales...

19. Redesign the Bible Sense Lexicon Window Controls to Allow Side-by-Side Comparisons

    Redesign Bible Sense Lexicon Window Controls - My desire is to be able Open the Bible Sense Lexicon for “love (affection)” and then click on the “+” tab to open a tab with a Bible Sense Lexicon for “love (attraction)” and then repeat for both “love (Christian)” and “love (friendship)” so that I may quickly compare them. Unfortunately, when I click on the “+” tab to open that tab with a Bible Sense Lexicon for “love (attraction)” it merely replaces the contents of the original window (initial tab) with the Bible Sense Lexicon for “love (attraction).”

20. add english to bible word pronunciation. quick verse has this option. I use english much more than hebrew or greek.
